Product Safety and Usage Guide

Product Safety & Usage Guide

At Nappies World, we import premium Japanese baby products chosen for their exceptional quality and rigorous safety standards. Please read the following guidance carefully before use.

General Diaper & Nappy Safety

  • Always change diapers frequently to maintain skin hygiene and prevent irritation.
  • Gently wipe away all traces of stool from your baby's skin at each change.
  • If redness, rash, or any skin irritation develops, stop use immediately and seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Never leave your baby unattended on a changing surface.

Storage Instructions

  • Store diapers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Keep away from heaters, radiators, or any high-temperature areas to prevent deformation or discoloration.
  • Avoid contact with detergents, liquids, or chemicals, as these may affect the outer packaging or product integrity.

Child Safety

  • Always store diapers and packaging out of children's reach.
  • Ensure children do not place diapers, packaging, or any packaging materials in their mouths, as these present a choking hazard.

About the Absorbent Material

Japanese diapers use a high-performance super-absorbent polymer (SAP) technology. When this material absorbs liquid, it forms small, soft jelly-like particles — this is completely normal and safe. If any particles come into contact with your baby's skin, simply wipe away gently. This material is rigorously tested and used safely in premium baby products worldwide.

If Accidentally Machine Washed

Don't panic — this happens! Here's what to do:

  1. Complete the spin cycle fully before opening the machine.
  2. Shake clothing firmly outside to remove pulp and jelly-like particles.
  3. Clean the inside of the washing machine drum thoroughly before running another load.
  4. Run an empty rinse cycle to clear any remaining residue.

Allergy Information

Select products in our range have been allergy tested on the surface sheet material. However, allergy testing does not guarantee that reactions will not occur in all individuals. If your child has sensitive skin or a history of allergic reactions, we recommend:

  • Consulting your pediatrician before use
  • Testing the product on a small area of skin first
  • Monitoring for any signs of irritation during initial use

Brand-Specific Information

Goon (グーン) Manufactured by Daio Paper Corporation, Japan. Goon diapers feature a soft, skin-friendly inner sheet and a flexible waistband designed to move with your baby. Known for their excellent fit around the legs and back to prevent leaks. The absorbent core is designed to lock in moisture quickly, keeping the surface dry. Goon Plus for First Born is specifically developed for newborn skin, with extra softness and a gentle fit for smaller bodies.

Moony (ムーニー) Manufactured by Unicharm Corporation, Japan. Moony diapers are made with a ultra-thin, breathable design that keeps baby comfortable and mobile. The surface sheet uses Unicharm's signature soft material to minimise friction on delicate skin. Moony Man (for active toddlers) and Moony Natural (featuring organic cotton materials) are among the range's most popular variants. Moony Natural is especially recommended for babies with sensitive or eczema-prone skin.

Pampers Japan (パンパース) Manufactured by Procter & Gamble Japan. While Pampers is a global brand, the Japanese version is manufactured to a higher specification than those sold in many other markets. Japanese Pampers feature a softer inner sheet, refined absorbent core technology, and a more tailored fit. The Premium Care range, exclusive to Japan, uses extra-soft materials and is dermatologically tested for sensitive newborn skin. Many parents specifically seek out Japanese Pampers for their noticeably superior softness compared to the same brand sold locally.

A Note on All Our Brands

All products we stock are genuine, original Japanese market products — not parallel imports or repackaged versions. Japanese baby product manufacturers are held to some of the strictest safety and quality standards in the world, and each brand above undergoes rigorous testing before reaching shelves in Japan.
