This baby sleeping mat is made from domestically grown rush grass (igusa) from Kyushu, Japan. It features a soft texture thanks to its 33-count weave. Japanese igusa is known for its thick, durable stalks and fine, dense fibres, which give it excellent resilience and long-lasting durability.
Rush grass has several natural benefits:
It absorbs moisture about three times more effectively than cotton.
It helps regulate humidity.
It reduces over 90% of the chemical compounds that cause sweat odours, helping to keep things fresh.
This product is also treated with Aomori Hiba (Japanese cypress) extract, which offers natural antibacterial and deodorising properties.
